I've been meaning to share this Venice family session for a while, but now truly couldn't be a better time. The Lazarus family just welcomed their second addition (a gorgeous little boy!) just days ago, and I couldn't help but tear up when I saw the announcement (and I promise it had nothing to do with my postpartum hormones). See, I had the chance to photograph this crew a few months ago when that sweet new son of theirs was still in utero, and I have to say, one of the greatest gifts of this job is the ability to watch the families I work with grow right before my very eyes. Meeting babies in the flesh after photographing their expectant mamas and eager siblings and slightly nervous-yet-overjoyed partners is akin to celebrating Christmas morning year-round.
Welcome to the world, sweet Jack, and to the Lazarus family, I'm sending my most heartfelt congrats and the utmost gratitude for the chance to meet you all during such an exciting time.
