wish upon a dandelion | manhattan family photography

Next up in my New York summer session show-and-tell series is a family of three (plus a pup) who stole my heart upon walking through the door of their Upper West Side apartment. Their tiny two-year-old was one of the most articulate toddlers I've ever met, and what followed was an evening that felt more like we were hanging out and catching up as opposed to taking family portraits. And if the immediate connection wasn't enough to make me gush about them in this post, we later ventured to Central Park where Lily made her first dandelion wish—and it's moments like these that make me forever grateful for having the power to freeze time and document milestones big and small. While 3,000 miles separate us now, I have a good hunch that I'll be seeing this crew again and again—it was no doubt one of my favorite shoots to date, and I'm thrilled to give you a few highlights below.
