Born and raised in small-town Pennsylvania, I can't remember a day in my childhood when I wasn't creating something, and growing up with my musician father meant that self-expression was—and still is—part of my everyday being. I'm now a Los Angeles-based lifestyle family and editorial photographer who—after studying visual art and photography throughout college and graduate school—tells other people's uniquely awesome stories with my trusty camera throughout Southern California. (I also frequently travel back to Brooklyn, New York, where I recently moved from after 12 blissful years.) I strive to capture authentic moments of all shapes and sizes through a photojournalistic approach to my work, and I love nothing more than witnessing and documenting genuine, spirited human connection.

When I don't have a camera in hand, I'm probably eating peanut butter from the jar, coloring with my four-year-old daughter, or planning our next west coast family adventure with my husband.
